Thomas Massie
8-ish paragraphs
I know most of you are mainly interested in politics. For myself, I tend to view political opinions as an outgrowth of perceptual capacity, and that in turn the result of emotional health, which is something that can be improved like VO2 Max and your deadlift.
Hence my constant personal explorations. And in the end, we are not put on Earth mainly to have opinions, or to be diligent at work.
Here is the thing with Massie: there is a line between being principled, on the one hand, and allowing the principle of contrarianism on the other to dominate.
And Massie crossed that line. We are trying to halt and reverse a Communist take-over of our nation that is well advanced and which has already seen the perversion of the Supreme Court on many issues, long term voting fraud on an unknown scale, and the conquest of both our educational systems and most media. This is a large, hard problem. And it is late in the day. Massie doesnt care. He reads the Constitution as if nothing else mattered. One could say “thats what makes (or made) him great”. I say: if Communists take over, the Constitution in its entirety will be burned in actuality while they publicly proclaim they are more faithful to it than Massie.
And this whole ISRAEL ISRAEL ISRAEL thing is tedious. Yes, Iran backs Hamas and Hezbollah, which are dangers to Israel, but Hezbollah killed hundreds of Americans in Lebanon; and Iranians killed a lot of our soldiers in Iraq indirectly.
And if Iran got nukes it would very quickly become our problem too. At a minimum they could use the threat of their use to drive all our troops from the Middle East, to bully all the Gulf States, and to create all manner of trouble if they didnt use the weapons outright on us and Israel. Every President since Reagan has viewed Iran as a threat. We are the Great Satan.
So I think the best policy is not to hate on Massie but to view the victory of his opponent as a blessing, hopefully. It will obviously depend on his performance.
Trump of course is being Trump. I’m not fond of that aspect of him but it seems to work. He said terrible things about Marco Rubio but now they work together great. Men can be very nasty to each other then actually become friends. One of my best friends ever I got into several fights (first grade fights are pretty comical) with.
Thats my two cents.

I was listening to my car radio yesterday and heard a dipshit speaking out against the Iran “war” (3 weeks of bombing is a war?), asking “How many more American boys are going to lose their lives in this crazy war?”
Um - aren’t we holding steady at about a dozen so far?
Not to minimize their sacrifice or the suffering of their loved ones, but…
